Episode 100 | Reverse Interview: Our Nutrition Passions, Journeys + Future Dreams

Episode 100.jpg

You guys–can you believe we’re at 100 episodes!? Wow! We’re just in awe and so excited that we’ve been able to continually share 100 episodes of awesome and actionable content with you over these last 2 years! We have loved being able to share our knowledge, our food and healthy living philosophies, our hearts and our journeys with you and we pray they’ve been helpful within your own wellness journey.

On today’s episode, we wanted to do something a little different and ask each other a few questions since we’re usually the ones asking those we interview all the tough (and fun!) questions! We’re asking each other 3 questions each–from food and nutrition to raising healthy little eaters and even our 10-year plan, we’re digging a bit more into our beliefs, our dreams and some goodies in between!

We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for listening to the Colorful Eats podcast, for sharing your journey with us, your questions and interests, for telling others about the podcast and for being there with us each Monday as we shared our hearts and passion with the world!

Episode 37 | Finding Beauty in Miscarriage with Amanda Koch

Today we are honored to welcome our sweet friend and fellow Nutritional Therapist, Amanda Koch of My Well Balanced Life to the podcast. She’s a passionate real food lover, military wife, mama and a woman with a story of great loss and incredibly beautiful gain.

Amanda shares her story of multiple miscarriages and how her faith and the knowledge she gained from holistic practitioners changed her health and her journey in an incredible way.  Amanda opens her heart to share her story, not to talk about herself but to help other women through a difficult time in their lives and talk about a subject that maybe isn’t talked about that much.

We chat both the emotional and physical stress of miscarriage, how her husband encouraged her through every step of the way and how nutrition and non-toxic living has played a huge role in her journey and beautiful family!

So for some of you listening, this may be a difficult episode to listen to and for some this may not exactly pertain to you.  But, chances are, everyone listening has known someone who has gone through this struggle or will know someone in the future, so we hope this is encouraging to everyone.

You will love Amanda’s genuine and heart-felt approach to the topic of miscarriage, so grab the tissue box and get ready to be encouraged today!

Read Amanda’s complete story of miscarriage and her rainbow baby.

Episode 25 | Why We Love Being Nutritional Therapy Practitioners + Beyond

Today we are talking about what it means to be a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and how you can be an influencer without ever going back to school!

Episode 25 NTPs

This episode is a little different than the usual. Today we are digging into what we do as Nutritional Therapy Practitioners and what that title actually means. Each week we share about different health topics and lend our expertise as Nutritionists so we want you to understand a bit more about where we come from, why we approach nutrition and healthy living the way we do and what we love most about working with clients.

We’re also giving a bit of business advice, that I’d say could apply to just about any career path.

Not only are we giving you a bit of an inside look into what we do, we’re also sharing why we think being an NTP may be something that could be a next step for those who have a passion for real food and healthy living, but aren’t quite sure what step to take next.

We understand this won’t be for everyone so we give some encouragement to those who are passionate about natural living and creating a healthy lifestyle, but aren’t necessarily ready to jump ship on their current 9-5.

You don’t need schooling or credentials to be an influencer, so we are sharing some of our favorite books that you can read to educate yourself for the best! As well as a fun business opportunity you can do without going back to school!
