I know there are so many different websites, so-called experts, and nutritionists pushing what they think is right for your baby, but I want you to feel confident about what you choose to do. You need to understand the “why” behind all of that advice to truly know what you’re feeding them is going to benefit them in every way.
It's easy to get caught up in the "kid food" world...serving pouches with each meal, chicken nuggets, granola bars and the occasional veggie (that's quickly slapped right out of your well-intentioned hand...you know what I'm talking about). After all, you're busier than ever and the time you have to cook has dwindled down to nothing. I get it.
But let me ask you this–if your doctor prescribed a medication for your child and told you that if you didn't give your her this medication daily, she'd spend her life suffering with digestive issues, difficulty concentrating and learning, allergies, depression and would development cancer and Diabetes before 30? I don't know about you, but I'd do anything in my power to get that little pill down her throat. And I'm guessing you'd do the same.
Now swap out that pill for nourishing foods. What will you do to make sure that "medicine", healthy whole foods, get into your child's precious little body? Foods that allow your little one to thrive in life and avoid the common health challenges so many parents are dealing with today.
We have to remember that the food they eat now sets the foundation for their entire life.
What your little one eats, the products that you use in your home to clean and the skincare items that you use on her little body day in and day out play a huge role in her growth, both physically and mentally, her ability to focus and learn, to play and sleep, her ability to fight off illness and become a strong little human.
Nourishing your baby is one of the most important things you can do to better ensure a healthy today and tomorrow. Research strongly suggests the correlation between poor nutrition and difficulty concentrating, learning, and growing, and can create a much more difficult time for you, the parent.
